the characteristics that the pearl brings out in these characters is:
Kino; it brings out the protective side of Kino. because he fears that someone is going to try to steal the pearl and ruin his vision of his families hope.
Juana: it brings out a fearful side of her because she is worried that the pearl is going to change Kino's well being.
the neighbors: it brings out that they are greatful for Kino and that the pearl could possibly bring hope to them.
